We’re excited to announce that Bencao Herbalist is collaborating with Boy Scout Aidan Chen from Troop 201 to support his Eagle Scout Project fundraiser.

Aidan's project is focused on revamping and beautifying planter boxes at Center Street Elementary School - creating a space for students to learn in and enjoy as well as for the community to enjoy. All funds raised will go directly toward materials and project expenses needed to bring this garden to life.

To support this meaningful cause, Bencao Herbalist will be donating 50% of the proceeds from the following products to his Eagle Scout Project fundraiser. 

This fundraiser sale will run through June 12, 2026.

I have been studying Chinese medicine all my life. Years ago, I noticed there was NO Chinese medicinal soap available in America.

"How strange!" I thought.

After years of research and countless hours spent perfecting formulations, my team and I finally arrived at the best Chinese herbs to revitalize, nourish and heal the skin.

It was during this exploration that I discovered the Běncǎo Gangmu《本草纲目》, a comprehensive list of herbs and their uses compiled during the Ming dynasty. This text, with its detailed descriptions and remedies, revolutionized my approach to soap making. Inspired by this ancient wisdom. I founded Běncǎo Herbalist. Běncǎo《本草》, pronounced Ben-choh, means "Roots and Herbs" in Chinese. It perfectly caputres our commitment to making natural products rooted in Chinese herbology.
